Cookie Policy

Last updated: October 8, 2026 · Version 1.2

1. What cookies are

Cookies are small text files that websites place on your device. They are widely used to remember preferences, keep users signed in, measure traffic or serve targeted advertising. Related technologies include local storage and web beacons.

EU rules (including the ePrivacy Directive) require websites to ask for consent before setting non-essential cookies. This page explains what this site does — and, in particular, what it does not do.

2. Cookies this site uses — one essential

The Site sets exactly one cookie: the login session on the chat page. When you sign in, the server places a session cookie (toothed_session) that keeps you signed in while you use the chat. It is essential for the Service to work. It is HttpOnly and SameSite=Lax, it is sent over HTTPS, and it lasts up to 30 days or until you sign out, whichever comes first.

We do not use analytics, advertising, fingerprinting or any other tracking technology. Because the session cookie is strictly necessary to provide the Service you asked for, the consent rules for non-essential cookies do not apply to it, and accepting or rejecting the informational cookie notice changes nothing about how the Site behaves.

3. Local storage (not a cookie)

When you choose in the cookie notice, a small value is stored in your browser’s local storage. Local storage is a browser feature, not a cookie: the value stays in your browser, never leaves your device, and is not read by us or by any third party. It only prevents the notice from reappearing on every visit. The chat page stores one more local-storage value for the same reason — the reasoning level you choose for Levy 1 (Off / Standard / Deep) — which also never leaves your device. You can clear local storage in your browser settings (see below).

4. Third-party cookies — none

The Site contains no embedded content — such as maps, videos or social widgets — from third parties, and all assets (fonts, icons) are served from our own server. As a result, no third-party cookies are set when you visit it.

5. Managing cookies in your browser

If you want to review or clear local storage or cookies in general, use the settings of the browser you are using, for example:

  • Chrome / Edge — “Cookies and site data” under Privacy and security;
  • Firefox — “Cookies and Site Data” under Privacy & Security;
  • Safari — “Cookies and website data” under Privacy;
  • Brave, Opera and most other browsers — a similar “Cookies” section in preferences.

Clearing local storage for this site will cause the cookie notice to be shown again on your next visit. You can also disable JavaScript in your browser; the Site remains readable and no notice is shown at all.

6. Changes to this policy

If this policy ever changes — for example, if a future feature genuinely needs a cookie — we will update this page and ask for your consent before setting any non-essential cookie.

7. Contact

Questions about cookies or this policy can be sent to us through the chat on the Site or through any contact channel Toothed AI makes available. Please include “Cookies” in your message so we can route it correctly.
